Establishment Action Plan 2010-2015: Fulfilling the promise of the Northwest
Territories Protected Areas Strategy
The Establishment Action Plan (EAP) is the second implementation plan for the Northwest Territories Protected Areas Strategy (PAS). The EAP focuses on the actions needed to secure protection of areas that were identified in the first 10 years of the PAS. It builds on accomplishments achieved and partnerships fostered through the Mackenzie Valley Five-Year Action Plan, though it applies to the entire NWT. The goal of the EAP is to enhance the implementation of the PAS in a co-ordinated and co-operative way.- Mackenzie Valley
Five-Year Action (2004-2009): Conservation Planning for Pipeline
Development
The Mackenzie Valley Five-Year Action Plan (Action Plan) was the first implementation plan for the Northwest Territories Protected Areas Strategy (PAS). It was a specific plan developed for the 16 NWT ecoregions directly impacted by the anticipated Mackenzie Gas pipeline route and associated hydrocarbon development areas. The Action Plan described the resources and capacity needed to help communities in the Mackenzie Valley work through the PAS process to protect land in advance of pipeline development. - 2009 - NWT PAS Brochure
